Artist – Barry Connolly
This collection of prints was conceived while taking photographs around Dublin during the first lockdown of 2020.
I was struck by the short lifespan of street art around the city.
A lack of locations where graffiti was permitted, rival artists competing for urban canvas, saboteurs and trolls defacing work.
It results in work rarely staying untouched for too long.
The collection is an attempt to capture the colour and vibrancy of the scene in Dublin and re-imagine it through fragments resampled to create something new.
